It all started when Madam Irene, inspired by cherished family recipes and a desire to share this culinary treasure with the world, decided to bring the heartwarming tastes. Inspired by the recipes passed down through generations, Kakatoo was born. The name itself is a tribute to the vibrant culture it represents - "Kakatoo" is a playful blend of "Kakak," meaning sister, and the colorful "Burung Kakak Tua" or parrot in Malay. It reflects the warmth, diversity, and vividness of the Nyonya culture.
